In the land of sushi and yakiniku, one chef is braving cultural and national prejudices to make Malaysian food just as popular. Malaysian-born Vevay Gananthan is a chef at Bunga Raya, a restaurant in downtown Nagoya that serves authentic Malaysian dishes, and Kasugai Katsunori is the proprietor. Vevay and Kasugai devise a novel plan to make Malaysian cuisine a hit in Japan.

This Japanese-Malaysian co-production follows Vevay and Kasugai as they come together to create a form of culinary history in Nagoya.
